Elevate Indianapolis Partners with HI-FI & Easy Rider for Student Vision Trips | Elevate Indianapolis

Elevate’s Pathways to Purpose programming creates an avenue to increase future earning power and climb out of intergenerational poverty. We connect students to people and opportunities they would not be able to access on their own through our Vision Trips.  During these trips, our Teacher-Mentors bring students to learn about these businesses and what career pathways each of them offer. Teacher-Mentors also expose students to Indy companies, area colleges, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Last month we had the pleasure of being able to take students from Purdue Poly-Englewood, Arsenal Tech, and George Washington High Schools to visit the HiFi and Easy Rider Diner in Fountain Square.

HiFi is a 400-capacity concert and special events venue and Easy Rider Diner is a local restaurant that blends traditional American comfort food with flavors of the Southwest. During the Vision Trip students were able to see firsthand what it takes to run concerts and events as well as learn more about running a local restaurant. We’re grateful to Josh Baker and Chelsea Sanderson for giving our students an exclusive look into the various career fields available at these unique businesses.

Watch the short video below that shares more about our recent outing.

Our Pathways to Purpose experiences, like the one in the above video, provide a fantastic opportunity for our local businesses to connect with the ambitious youth in our community. This program continues to bridge the gaps between local enterprises and the aspiring talents of tomorrow.
