ELEVATE 3V3 ALL STARS TOURNEY – FEBRUARY 19, 2024

Thanks in part to local sponsorship and support, our Elevate Sports & Adventure Program will host the Elevate All Stars 3v3 Basketball Tourney on Monday, February 19, 2024!

During this annual mentoring event, Elevate will welcome over 60 students and volunteers to a fun-spirited 3v3 basketball tourney near downtown Indy. We already have nearly 50 students signed up to play. Each student that participates in the tournament will receive a new pair of basketball shoes thanks to New Shoe Day, an organization that believes a new pair of shoes can be the spark for positive change and be a pathway to wellness, community, and movement. In addition to the new kicks they will also receive a branded jersey, gym bag, warmup shirt and basketball – all thanks to our amazing event sponsors and Community Engagement Partners.

This annual youth mentoring event will be filled with fun, and food, and will play host to an inspiring speaker, who will be talking on the importance of positive character and healthy choices students can make to be thriving contributors in their community.

POKAGON STATE PARK’S TOBOGGAN RUN – MENTORING EVENT

Becoming an annual tradition, Elevate students, alongside DREAM Alive students, courageously braved the cold last weekend and journeyed North to Pokagon State Park to partake in their exhilarating Toboggan Run. This Sports & Adventure mentoring activity marked the inaugural visit to a state park for many of our students, with even more experiencing the thrill of tobogganing for the very first time! We take joy in celebrating these first-time experiences that push the boundaries of our students’ comfort zones. Take a peek at this brief video below to witness all the excitement!

ORGANIZATIONAL REALIGNMENT TO BETTER SERVE ELEVATE

As part of our internal organizational evaluations, we realigned our program into two long-term life-changing pipelines. For the remainder of this program year at a minimum, our program team has been divided into an Eastside Pipeline and Northwest Pipeline.

Through this realignment, Mr. Jackson Gutierrez assumes the newly created position of Development Manager, focusing primarily on individual donor support and engagement. We are also pleased to announce the promotions of Mr. Braylon Myers as he assumes the position of Community Engagement Manager to provide a stronger bridge between our corporate and community partners and pipelines, while Mr. Josh Mendoza assumes expanded leadership in his newly created position, Eastside Pipeline Manager.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Tina Rhoden-Lewellyn into the role of Chief Operations Officer. With over 30 years of non-profit experience, Tina has continued to build a strong foundation of best practices in achieving impact and results at the foundation of our program and operations team.
