7TH ANNUAL VISION BREAKFAST NEXT WEEK

The 7th Annual Vision Breakfast is less than two weeks away, November 9th! During this event, we share and update where we have been the past year and where we are going in the next. You will also have the chance to hear stories of hope and success directly from current Elevate students, alumni, city leaders, and educators.

This year, we have some engaging guest speakers including The Honorable Geoffrey A. GaitherPurdue Polytechnic High School Principal, Jacob Pactor, and CICF Community Leadership Officer, Ms. Leah Nahmias.

Judge Gaither will be sharing what our event’s theme means in his context and unique perspective as a leader of this city. Principal Pactor and Leadership Officer Nahmias will offer remarks about the life-changing impact of Elevate’s work.

The Honorable Judge Gaither is the Presiding Judge in the Marion County Family Division Court Room 9 in Indianapolis. His primary jurisdiction includes delinquency cases, Children In Need of Services cases, and some child custody, support, and visitation issues. Inspiring and influencing youth through education is important to Judge Gaither. He helped develop the Urban Initiative Hi5 Rallies at local schools empowering young people to take ownership of their educational careers.

Principal Jacob Pactor is the Purdue Polytechnic HS Principal who believes in the power of learning through authentic experiences, and he is excited to support the PPHS Englewood team as they continue to empower learners through student-centered, real-world learning experiences.

Ms. Leah Nahmias joined The Indianapolis Foundation in 2021 and oversees the foundation’s youth development, youth workforce, and Indy Summer Youth Programs grant-making. She holds an MA in public humanities from Brown University and a BA in history and East Asian Studies from IU.

Join us as we come together to celebrate our journey so far and unveil our compelling vision for the year ahead, centered around our empowering theme: “Elevate their Community – Elevate Our City!” Spots are filling up fast!

ENRICHING OUT-OF-SCHOOL EXPERIENCES FOR ELEVATE STUDENTS DURING FALL BREAK

Because our programming is 24/7/365, Fall Break does not mean a break for our Teacher-Mentors. Instead, our Teacher-Mentors work to schedule enriching out-of-school experiences for our students, so they can continue mentoring and supporting students even when school is not in session. It’s during these school breaks that relationships are bonded and memories are made.

During Fall Break, our program included:

Our out-of-school experiences are curated to expand our student’s minds and build on those long-term, life-changing relationships that we are working to create.
