May 2024 Newsletter – Graduation + Gearing up for the summer!

WE’RE SO PROUD OF OUR GRADUATES

Last week, our seniors walked across their school’s stage, accepting their high school diplomas and closing a page in this chapter of their story. While this is an ending, it is also the beginning, and our commitment to our students extends well beyond graduation.

Our saying “Once in Elevate, Always in Elevate” means we will continue to support, mentor and encourage our students to be the best versions of themselves as they head to college, career or their next path. Cheers to our 2024 High School Graduates from Arsenal Tech and George Washington!

ELEVATE PRESIDENT & CEO DELIVERS COMMENCEMENT SPEECH DURING ARSENAL TECH GRADUATION

This year, our President & CEO Aaron Story had the honor of delivering the commencement speech for the 2024 Arsenal Tech High School Graduation. Aaron’s journey of mentoring and coaching students at Arsenal Tech started over 15 years ago, and during his speech, he shared 3 ways students can elevate their lives after graduation.

FELLOWSHIP ON THE FAIRWAYS – A JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION

Elevate Indianapolis proudly presents the 4th Annual Juneteenth celebration – Fellowship on the Fairways golf scramble on June 14, 2024. This Friday morning event at the historic Fredrick Douglass Park Golf Course combines Elevate Indy Sports & Adventure programming with a historical and celebratory exploration of Juneteenth, offering a unique experience for students, staff, and community members.

We have 3 ways for you to engage – Volunteer, Sponsorship and Financial Supporter opportunities available!

Currently, we are in need of the following volunteer spots:

Set-up/Tear-down/Food Service (5 Spots)
Community Golfers (10 Spots)

A SUMMER OF FUN IS COMING TO ELEVATE INDY

Elevate’s unique, relationship-based approach employs full-time Teacher-Mentors who represent the community they serve. Part teacher, part mentor, part life coach, our dedicated team members make themselves available 24/7/365 to build relationships with students.

We are not only available to our students during school hours but also outside of them, like during summer break. Our Teacher-Mentors organize trips and activities to strengthen our connection with students and deepen relationships all year round.
