Hello there!
Last Friday, June 14, we were able to see our Elevate seniors graduate from Arsenal Technical High School and we could not be more proud of them! These students went against the odds and overcame obstacles to be able to thrive and graduate! Your support allowed us to impact the lives of more students than ever before since our program’s inception in 2016.
With this graduating class, we saw a 90% graduation rate of our Elevate students! We also had our largest number of seniors that graduated this year, and we could not be more proud of them.
Class of 2019 Arsenal Tech and Elevate graduate, Jackala Watson excitingly says “Elevate has played a role in shaping my future by supporting my family and friends; they helped me accomplish, through hard work, where I want to be in life.”
This year’s seniors were offered over $975,000 in college scholarships.
Stephanie Correa, Class of 2019 Arsenal Tech Elevate graduate and first recipient of our partner scholarship from Marian University explains, “Elevate did shape my life; the reason being is that they helped me get to college and find the right resources.” Stephanie will be able to receive her undergraduate degree as well as a Masters Degree in Education from Marian University.
As summer is in full swing, our summer post-secondary, adventure and mentoring programming has started. We are hosting several engagement events this summer that you can participate in!
On July 17 we will be attending the Indianapolis Indians afternoon game. The game has a 1:35 first pitch and we will be sitting in the lawn and enjoying a picnic lunch. If you would be interested in attending or would like more information on this or further engagement events please reach out to our Engagement Coordinator, Jackson Gutierrez, at jackson@elevateindy.org
