Elevate Indy Westside Wednesdays

Hello there,

Ring Ring! That’s the sound of the first bell that was loud and proud Monday morning at George Washington High School on Indy’s Near Westside.

We are excited about the launch of our Westside pipeline at George Washington High School, this school year we are able to have two full classes.

Our team will teach our students essential character qualities and life skills that will allow them to flourish and be successful as teenagers in one of the most vulnerable parts of our city.

We are excited to be part of the George Washington family as a key community partner that is committed to seeing Westside students have positive opportunities so they can achieve their dreams and thrive!

SITE VISIT:  Come visit us at George Washington for our first Site Visit of the 2019-2020 School Year on August 27th from 12:15-1:15. This one hour Lunch & Learn will give you the opportunity to observe an Elevate class, hear our about model, and meet a Teacher/Mentor. To RSVP, please contact our Engagement Coordinator, Jackson Gutierrez, at jackson@elevateindy.org.

Over at Arsenal Tech High School, our staff started their classes on Monday as well. They have a full load of students this year, and they could not be more excited about the opportunity to serve them.

This year, the staff has rearranged the classroom by replacing traditional classroom furnishings with card tables and folding chairs to foster community and relationships.

With both pipelines in full swing this year, it makes for our biggest opportunity to see a great impact for Elevate students yet; we hope that excites you as much as it excites us.
